View Full Version : EQ rack rear advice

On my set up I am now using a seperate rack system on the top of the deckstand which contains a graphic EQ, Radio mic and crossover for when I use the passive system.

The case is a 4U KamKase rack but I am struggling to find a solution to hide the mess of cables and contents on the back of the case. I dont really want to drill the lid of the case or attatch a panel to it but I was thinking maybe drilling a hole into the side of the case to feed the wiring in and then put the rear of the case to hide the components inside.

Any suggestions would be very greatful.

Panel-mount socketry??

A line of XLRs, IECs and whatever else you need either directly attached to the chassis of the flightcase or added to a blank 1U or 2U 19-in panel and then bolted into place?

Well I have thought about this but the back of the case doesn't have a rackmounting section fitted.

You can buy the rackmounting strip metal from a number of places

Terralac sell rackmounting strip you can either bolt it in or rivet it through the case.

are all 4u used ? if not mount the patch panel front of the rack.

All 4U is not used. Great idea though. I am going to definatley look into that now.
