oh dear, someone can't do their math.

89db @ 1w/1m is pathetic for starters, but still gives a theoretical max SPL of 114db @ 1m with 300w driven

so where does 94db come from?
the answer is of course, circa 11 metres from the source, but the sad truth is it appears neither the manufacturer, retailer or most potential users of this type of kit have got a bloody clue about the numbers!

IIRC, the db technologies sub 15 is around the 100 mark @ 1w/1m and is a powered 15" box. I'm sure there are users on here whom will probably chip in later.

think the 100 may have been a reference to price not spl

For £100, your not going to get much at all, sorry.

Maybe have a scout on ebay and anything you do find, post it up on here and I'm sure someone will help you out further. :)

You are still looking at £280 delivered which IMO is a good price for a 15" Active Sub for serious use.

I put some bass bins on ebay earlier. Have got a cheap little active sub that I would let go for £100. Not the most powerful in the world but would be a good little sub for small gigs. Have also put on some very big ones.
