Hi All,
Tomorrow I will be doing my Flying Cross Country Qualifier (Solo).
I have to fly from Tatenhill (Where I'm learning to fly) and land at Gloucester, then fly from Gloucester and land at Leicester and then finally fly from Leicester back to Tatenhill.
I'll get around 30minutes on the ground at each airfield, so plenty of time for a cuppa! :D
I have the aircraft booked from 9am to 3pm, so it's going to be a long, expensive day and I'll only have myself for company :( :D
I hope the weather is nice tomorrow as it's started to get better again today - hence the phrase on my signature! :D
Wish me luck............my stomach is doing somersaults as I'm quite nervous.

Winds = Aftermath of a Curry
Thermals = Are for Gliders :D :D :D
Seriously, I to hope the winds are light tomorrow and that the cloud base is above 2500ft.
Cheers guys.

Well folks, I have returned (In one piece) :D
It was a fantastic day and all the legs of the flight went perfectly! :)
I even had a drink bought for me at Gloucester by a very nice Pilot from Tatenhill, who had followed me down to Gloucester............and over took me before I got there lol (His aeroplane is quicker, not that I fly like a grandad lol :D)
So, all was good and my final Flight Test (GST) is booked for Sunday 18th October  :)

..........I didn't crash or hit anyone, did I? :D
In all seriousness, I was keeping a good look-out and I was also talking to East Midlands Air Traffic Control, who were informing me if there was any other traffic in the vicinity.........but there wasn't, as the only traffic around was going East and I was going North-West :D

Today I have done my Radio Telephony practical exam and passed - woohoo! :D
I posted something on our flying club forum to ask for advice and this is one of the replies I got:
You won't have a problem at all, just think that you're spinning disks and chatting to an eager crowd, as all good DJ's do!
You'll have Woody (The Chief Flying Instructor) dancing in the aisles!!! A good May day could be translated into 'Maggie May' and a pan call could be funked up into a 'rap' jibe - my pan, my pan, my rough running engine pan! Just be careful when you start jigging up and down though, as the ceiling in the cupboard is low flying!!!
By cupboard, he means cupboard under the stairs where I had to wear a headset and do my test :D
