Anyone know of a Courier that has insurance of over £1500? The ones I have seen only go up to £1000 :( Need to send a rather expensive item for repair. Royal Mail want £25 for the privilege of it...

The only delivery companies I know of who would tale that would be royal mail, or possibly DHL or FedEx

Thought you only paid a shade over a grand for it? :confused: :p

Royal Mail Special Delivery. Dear but worth it. None of the other courier compensation schemes are worth a hoot.

Ah I always over insure it just in case :D.


Looks like I'm going to have to go for the Royal con then Ah well.

Dont over insure. I got told that by a postmaster in my sub-office. They always check the price when you claim and only pay RRP and not what it was insured for.

Shame you live at the end of the earth, like me. If you'd've been closer to Glasgow you could've walked into the apple store and out again in no time with a repair or replacement. :o

I could take it up to the place I'm sending it to its only something like 70 miles away BUT I have no transport and school to contend with so can't go. :(

LOL! Never again am i getting a refurb.

Its costing me a fortune on wireless BB in school not having it.

You were just unlucky :(

So far for myself and family I've bought 1 refurb Mac Pro, 2 refurb iMacs, 3 refurb Mini Macs, 4 refurb Macbooks of differing specs, a refurb Airport Extreme, a refurb Time Machine and a refurb Apple TV V1.

The only issue I've had is a sticking key on one keyboard which was replaced within 24 hours with a new one. I was told to bin the old one.

I'd certainly go refurb again.

Suppose I shouldn't stop buying from it all because of one item.

If i had paid the extra £291 odd for the extended warranty then i wouldn't be in the mess...

Dunno where i would stand seeing as its a Refurb. £1029 New price is something like £1500 and royal mail do it in £500, £1000, then £2500.
