Anyone seen, or used one of the DJScreens. Its lycra and stretches between a goalpost stand.
Picky below....

Make your own.
4-way white lycra, 2.5m x 1.5m approx £5 from ebay
2m white 1" webbing approx £2 from ebay
Speak nicely to someone with a sewing machine
Job done.
3m truss stand (if you haven't got one already) about £60 from Maplin
I have several in differing sizes and hook them up in all sorts of places.
My only advice is not to use tarpaulin 'eyes' as no matter how well fixed, they eventually fray and come loose. Stitch a 1" double hem all the way round, then attach a 3" length of white webbing in each corner plus halfway down each side. Sorted.

Might be an idea to get a couple of Spiderman cutouts to go either side :) . (not a great fan of those screens)

I think it has a time and a place the more i think about it. Maybe fisuals at an 18th or 21st, but the way it stretches over the truss makes it look wrong. If it had a dedicated frame then maybe.

Just seen a 60 inch one in CPCs offer catalogue for £90 9is, cant quite remember) plus VAT obviously.
Think thats the way to go.

Well, just got the lappy and screen.
Lappy was second hand off ebay. Acer Aspire 3100. I know its old, but as a dedicated lappy for slideshows it will do fine...and i can slot this 1gb of DDR2 ram that no one wanted on her in it too :D. Cost £162
60" screen from CPC for a grand total of £86.72
Just need to wait a couple of weeks for my account to replenish...then its the projector.

I would like to mention a word of warning if using front projection is that most of the time your projector is open to the public. Only time I used front projection (and the projector was right beside me) somebody put a sausage roll on top of it. Doesnt sound too serious but could have easily been something else that could have ruined the projector)

I have used very similar 'spandex sails' as we call them they can look very cool depending on what you do with them, below are some examples:
Used either side of a stage:

or maybe as a roof type thing to a temporary conference space:

See that bi really do like Chris. It was just the truss framework that [put me off the projector one. But if you have natural anchor points in the venue i could see it looking awesome.
