View Full Version : New White and Black LED Dance Floor

Hi Guys

For those of you that didnt see me at the speaker meet or havent been bombarded with staus updates from me on facebook for the last few weeks I have just purchased 2 x Starlit LED Dance floors, one is white and the other is a black one.

Both are 12ft x 12ft (just short of 4m x 4m).

One question - Why use gobo's ? I would have thought up lighting and the dancefloor would have been enough. IMO :)

Having now used the floor I completely agree, last night was the first time that I used it and so in future I will just use a few par cans with it I think.

I had no idea how bright it would be hence why I took 'disco' lights with me yesterday.

Its nice but I am not sure if I would hire one if I was in a venue that already has a dance floor- which the one in the video appears to.

I take your point, the client for last night had the floor free of charge so that I could get some footage of the floor etc to use in promotional material.

It wasnt an ideal venue in the sense that the dance floor there was already built in.

That does look great, and as has been said, it would hold it's own without additional lighting. In fact, I reckon it would be great on it's own with a bit of colour wash around the room (possibly on to the ceiling?) to compliment it :)

TBH I think it's a bit boring, does it do anything other than 'twinkle'.....sorry to be negative. :o :)

No need to apologise, I guess that the people booking this will think thats its a bit less boring than plain parque wood :)

Yep definately, thats the main thing that I have learned from using it.

Yeah that's a fair point and as a first dance feature it's certainly different which is what many couples want to make their wedding stand out from the rest. :)

Yep will do, although bear with me till Wednesday, I'm off to Dublin for a couple of days to get drunk in the morning :)
