You've got to start giving people a guide price! I'm in the market for a laptop at the moment - PM me (or post) a rough target price you've got in mind?

By the way, you're not legally allowed to sell Virtual DJ as according to Atomix they only "license it to you for your use" and your license does not include permission to sell it on. Unfortunately they enforce this by making the software register itself back with Atomix when it starts and if you run it concurrently on more than 2 PC's at once then all of the copies will permanently disable themselves (and Atomix are not sympathetic if you talk to their tech support). By the way, this is from reading on Atomix's support forum, not from personal experience :D

Why don't you put the price you want then, you'll only annoy people otherwise.

Try running all three copies simultaneously on internet connected computers and see what happens? :D It might be a threat that they make to deter piracy, but I'm not prepared to risk my license to try it ;)

Incidentally, I'm waiting on the final outcome of a court case in America which may over-rule Atomix's license regarding sale of VDJ (Link here (http://www.out-law.com/default.aspx?page=10421)).

No, but if you've registered it, the license and registration cannot be transferred so officially the copy will be unlicensed and the new "owner" won't be eligible for support, updates, etc.

I must admit, I'd never heard that before and it must be a fairly new thing as VDJ has only just introduced a lot of features that use the internet. There was a download facility before, but the new ones use the net a lot more so I should imagine more users are trying them out.

I dunno how long that's been around, but I found out about it when I was reading about the licensing terms for VDJ5 in August last year. I bought a second hand Numark Total Control off eBay which I was told came with a full license of VDJ Pro (as the user said he'd upgraded). On pressing him for the license key it became apparent that he'd never had one and when I talked to Atomix about it they mentioned that a) the copy of Cue had never been registered, so there was no way that the guy could have upgraded it b) if he had, the license wasn't transferable so they weren't prepared to help me anyway and c) If I tried to use a license which was installed on another machine somewhere else, then it'd kill all of the running copies.

Because the copy of Cue which came with it was unregistered, I ended up paying for the update to full VDJ Pro (or paying for the same thing twice as it's else known...)

Until a judge in the Autodesk case in America finally rules in favour of the customer (and Atomix decide to take legal advice on their current license) you can't legally resell a copy of Virtual DJ so you might as well uninstall and keep it.

And Yes I'm interested, but I'm waiting for a PM with a starting price.
