How can I get the cancer research ribbon rotating?

Hi people,
I wonder if you can help me, In November I'm booked for a charity event called "The Pink Ball" which is to raise funds for Cancer Research. They have asked me to show a slideshow of pictures from other charity events they have organised which is fine.

But they also asked if I can show the pink ribbon on a screen rotating. I have no idea where to look or where to even start about getting this.

If you don't know the Ribbon I'm on about here is a picture. How could I get this animated on its vertical axis?

Its a strange request I know but I always try my best to add what they require

What program did you use for that?

For the simple spinning one i used photoshop cs3 ( which i use alot ) just to cut out the pink ribbon then i used a online service called lunapic then saved the image to desktop and uploadedto photobucket

the sparkly one i actually found on google, typed pink ribbon animated gif :)

If you had a larger image could you do a larger one that rotates smoother?

To get a true rotation you'll need a reverse-side image too ;)

Doesn't Xara allow you do perform 3D rotation effects? I know the earlier releases were for text-based effects but I'm sure I read somewhere that the latest edition is far more advances.

Marc J, animated my logo that's in my avatar (and I'm sure he did one for you too while back, Callum?). To do those he required the vector design files though.

I can do animated gifs and the like, but to have it rotating properly would require a 3D animation I'd imagine.

Thinking out of the box, if cost was not a problem and you wanted it rotating clock or anti-clockwise you could hire a logo projector and have a glass colour gobo made.

Now if i could find an .x or EPS 3D version of the ribbon then i could make a WMV of one rotating.

I would have thought this would have been an easy 3d mesh to find, but apparently not...
