Is there somewhere I can buy legitimate copies of my most played trax for transmitting through my laptop as a DVD playback.I knowthere are companies that do Individual Karaoke Songs for a couple of quid a time....and want the same sort of deal.

Examples of some of the tunes I would like.

Journey....Don't stop believing.
Michael Jackson....Thriller/Billie Jean
Jam....Town Called Malice
Time of My Life....From the Film (extract)
Queen .....We Will Rock You
Rythym Of My Heart....Rod Stewart.

Just Examples.

Don't want to have to buy twenty to get one....if you know what I mean

lol, i read your post too quickly max,,,i thought why would want to speak to marks & spencers :)

anyway,,

also, talk to Promo Only, Ive been told they are going to start a pick n mix service too.

and yeah, Thriller is a tough one,,

you can buy it easily enough, but its the long version thats no good for playing out....

what this country needs....

is a company who can supply properly editted music videos for VJ's

preferably with added beats at the beginning and end.

promo only say they do this,, editting that is,,

but on the latest release,, bad boys has a six second break,, making it unplayable.

i think i need to learn about video editting etc myself....

Ahhhh off topic I know but this was released by the Racing Cars whom I have seen many times, their guitarist Graham Williams was once rated as one of the best guitarists in the world by none other than Eric Clapton.
They have sinced split up amicably and played their last gig a few months ago in Treorchy, South Wales.:beer1:

I'm sure they are very good my friend.

However why can't I buy what I need to make my business work a little better...Classic clip of Journey LIVE ON U-TUBE....How do I get that legally incorporated into my evening??

From memory (although I may be wrong - family break-up and lots of beer at the mo!) you can't play YouTube music videos to the general public as YouTube haven't licensed them for that purpose.

Just think about all the aggro earlier this year between YouTube and PRS over music royalty and licensing fees!

I was pre-empting that Dazzy....Is it just me or is there a huge whole in the market here??

I don't think there's a gap in the market as there are specialist products out there (I am assuming you are referring to the actual music videos to play rather than just karaoke). However, they are very expensive. You can expect to pay upwards of £100 per disc for some of the more specialist / obscure music videos. I used to get a catalogue where disc prices ranged from £35 to about £180 per DVD. Can't remember who it was from right now, though.

They may have 15,000 different titles available.......However most look pretty obscure to me.

The gap in the market I refer too is for the really popular cheesey tunes that we alll have to use at some time(i'll admit it)......

Look at the party classics - they have some of what you are looking for.

And when I have listed them, you might be interested in some that I am selling. ;)

It's a more expensive way of doing it, but I think you can also make up your own discs too. If there is a track you are looking for, then ring them and ask if they can source it. Mark Van den burg is the man to speak to.
