Par cans uplighting

Going to be investing in some parcans soon, 16 or maybe 20

Already have 4 megabars but sometimes these are too big for tight areas. So what are you using?

I'm looking at these but don't like the filter holders that stick out.

Is suspect around £80-90 each at a guess

Maybe cheaper i hope thinking of getting some if they any good.

LEDJ - PAR64 at present but they are getting old now been out a while and have started to develop a few faults i.e dry joints, the sound to light mic on one is knackered, also these are early versions of these units so i found the build quality was not that good.

I had to re cable the mains as it broke up on them, The boards that were used are low quality and if you solder them they don't take much heat and the track on the board lifts.

But i have seen newer versions of the unit and they seem fine and better quality so still recommend them.

I have just bought some LED pars from Thomann, I went for 4 x Stairville Par 56's with the 10mm LED's and I am very impressed. I also bought a DMX master which is a doddle to use and an Arriba bag which houses the four of them perfectly.

For the price I think they're great and I'll certainly be buying another 4 at some point.

And by the way, they don't come with filter holders so look quite smart. Here's a link to them :

So you can use frost for example

You need to look after them more! Those original LEDJ units were fantastic, much tighter beam than the newer version which was great for uplighting pillars.
