View Full Version : Play button playing up on my Denon DN HD4500 twin CD player

Hi everyone,

I have a Denon DND4500 twin CD player and had it a number of years so it isn't under warranty. The left hand side play button sometimes needs a few preses to get it to play the track and I'm not too sure whether I can fix it or not. Has anyone had the same problem? If you've had this problem, how did you resolve the problem? The A1 and A2 hot starts work perfectly ok, it's just the main play button thats playing up. And the right hand side play button is fine too, plays straight away after clicking once.

Anything caught down the side......? Crumb, pizza :D or a piece of buffet food?

I doubt it's food lodged down the side as I've never eaten food when using it, Penny!

I think it's a wise move to contact Denon HQ tomorrow first thing.

If this problem has happend to anyone else, which I'm sure it has, did it cost a lot to get it fixed and what was the problem?

We had a sticky on/off FX button on our DJM600.

Pick up some compressed air and some IPA Solvent and take the front panel off to investigate, and be generous in your application! Perhaps your unit has taken a knock and, like ours, there isn't enough contact. It worked for us.

You've said that you used 2 chemicals to remedy your sticky on/off FX button but I don't have that problem. In fact the whole rubber play button has come out!

I'll get a quote from Denon HQ and see whether it's time to send her in to the big boys!
