Hey,

I had problems with my smoke machine (Antari F80Z) a few moths ago, but with a bit of vinegar, I cleaned it out and got it going again. It's now done the same thing again, only small puffs of smoke now and then. But it has done me 3 years and I only paid around £45 for it anyway.

Anyway, I think its time for a new one. I am looking at the new Fogtec machines by Prolight. Has anyone had any experience of these foggers? I am looking at the VS 1000 and for £60 and think it will do the job.

As I don't use it much, I don't want to pay a fortune, but I do want a good little machine.

I saw a smoke machine at CR Services the other day and it was made by Prolight and I'm sure Clive said it was £29.99. It was tiny and seemed to be putting out a lot of smoke for such a small machine.

Do you have a link for this machine? I have looked on the CR Services website however there is only one smoke amchine and one haze machine. The smoke machine is the Acme HP2, and at £100 its not the one you speak of.

It is a fairly new machine, which is why it probably isn't on his site. Give him a bell or email tomorrow and tell him Darren sent you. ;)

im sure using vinegar isnt a great idea. Im led to believe it gives off dangerous gases?

i aggree also im sure a few months ago a friend did this to clear the tubes on his "Soundlab" machine and it ended up rotting the tubes, will ring and ask him if it was vinegar but im 99% sure it was as i can remeber the smell it gave off about 3 weeks later lol :( not pleasent

When I had my first problem with it I posted it up here and was advised to try vinegar. I didn't use straight vinegar, I watered it down. But anyway I am looking for a new one now.

I've spoken to Clive and the machine you are talking about is qthe Fogtec VS 400. So the same make but I was just looking at a higher model. I may settle for the VS800, the one in the middle.
