Side tracking slightly from the 'Enquiries' thread, but I was wondering if the MDD was working for you enquiries wise?

Before the site was updated, I had no enquiries at all, but since then, I have had 5 enquiries with 2 becoming confirmed Birthday bookings and 1 becoming a healthy paying Wedding booking (with Uplighting).

So, how are you doing?

Scott.

I've never had one enquiry from here. Loads from my website and uk disco though.

Nope, but thats not surprising for me...organic google searches seem to be throwing up more for me than all the directories put together

I've never had a booking or even an enquiry from this site.

However, that's probably due to the fact that I have a free listing. Unfortunately for me these are sorted alphabetically by place name...and the place where I live begins with w, so my listing is right at the very bottom where nobody will ever see it!

I should probably think about a paid listing to move me up to a place where some punters might see my listing.

I've had a few enquires (and one booking) via the directory since the site relaunch. The premium listing and it's prominent placement helps.

i have loads of hits from this site but its usually directly from threads Ive posted on and not the listing so guessing its from fellow members. In fact apart from google.co.uk this is the my best supply of leads to the site.

Not had one booking from it or an email come to think about it

No booking / enquiries from this site for me!

Having said that, I'm not actually sure if I am listed on here, I will have to go and have a look :)

How do people know the enquiry is coming from here?

tracker program does for me Darren. Cant be 100% but you can match the email with whoever was on the site at the time and you can see how they found the site.

Same here.

I've had over a thousand hits to my website from this forum, but not a single enquiry, let alone booking.

I'm guessing that all these hits are from other forum members or casual forum readers who are just having a nosey.

How do people know the enquiry is coming from here?

Webstats and/or tracker programs, Darren.

Apart from my webstats, there is a nice little tracker program which gives me the referring site for every enquiry which I receive via my website. This information is extremely useful, so I record all these details on a special document for future reference.

Mine's even better than that...it actually gives me the details on every enquiry which comes through, as detailed above.

I have just had a look, I have had 42 hits from people on this forum onto my site in the last 30 days with people spending on average 4:30 looking around.

I have had 8 people click through the directory onto the site with them spending on average 12 seconds on the site with people from google spending on average 2:35 on the site.

Must be some clever gubbins on your website to capture the referrer and store it in a session variable, then on the contact form then fill it in as a hidden field so you see it on the enquiry when it comes in....or something like that...all far too clever for me ;)

How do people know the enquiry is coming from here?

If the enquirer uses the contact form at the foot of the listing, the email sent has the subject title "Enquiry from the Mobile Disco Directory".

If they bypass the contact form and click on the web link to my site from the directory, the nifty addon Marc added to my site shows where they've come from.

That one I know about as we have stats to show that.

I can't remember what date the relaunch was, but I had 2 enquiries in September and 2 in August from people who've found me on this directory.

When someone visits my site it stores the location they came frome and then this is sent to me, should they make an enquiry.
