Hi All,
Just a quick post to say thanks very much to Matt (Spinmobiledisco) for taking me out to a gig with him last night! I learnt loads about corporate work and how to use bridge songs to go from one era/genre to another smoothly. Overall was a great night and thanks once again for taking me out on the road and helping a younger DJ out!
Cheers!

Nice one Ollie & Spin!
Going out with other DJs isn't just beneficial to the younger DJs, either.
Even after my 25 years in this game, I've still been out with other DJs in the last few years, including a couple from this forum, and have always found it to be interesting, useful & enjoyable.
It's a bit like this forum...getting to find out how others work and discuss & share ideas...but in the real world!

No problem Ollie glad you enjoyed it. We had a fancy dress Halloween disco at my residency and thought it would be a great time to try some new gear. Had a packed dance floor all night and everyone was in costume so the atmosphere was great. Even got a tip at the end and had a chance to try some new things pictures to follow as soon as I can find my camera.

That looks the business - how did you get the flame effect behind the cloth?

2 martin DC-2's behind them at a steep angle . The material is a voile that is nicely transluscent. A bit hard to judge height but the poles are at 3 meters high and tower nicely over the croud. They are animate flame effects but unfortunatly did not take a video to show this. Using 2 martin acrobats up top , 2 uv panels, 2 martin dc-2's on the floor angle up and 2 par 54's on a red wash to give an edge to the flame effects.
