the casing suggests they are intended to be permanently mounted, what are the mounting options for mobile use?

Thats a good point, i'm not sure, i assume using them free standing would be fine though.

To be honest, they look like junk which wouldn't last 15mins on a mobile rig. I'm also not sure how all that unfocused moving light would look on a dance floor?

Thats a good point, i'm not sure, i assume using them free standing would be fine though.I personally do not like floor-standing lights (unless you are talking about up-lighters around the edges of a room) and H&S leaps out at me if you have them 'free standing' on speakers or such like. As a result, I don't think they'd be any good for mobile work, IMO.

I have absolutely no knowledge of the lights in question, but the appearance leads me to believe that they would be totally unsuitable for mobile use.

A Flat headed bolt going to some kind of clamp I'd imagen. I don't think he (in the video) would use them on the floor.
Cheap, nasty & sound like tractors. Save your money for proper moving heads.
I think he did say $150 each, which is a silly price for any lighting fixture.
