Does anyone know of any decent DJ equipment shops in Manchester/East Lancs/West Yorks?

I've been looking at the Ultimax range of deck stands online but would like to go and have a look at it close up but can't find/don't know of any local stockists...

The best shop in the North West in my opinion, by a million miles is Soundsavers in Lancaster.

The most helpful staff ever. The best prices. And service second to none.

Theyre not a massive shop but will get anything in they can to help you then you just nip up to the store and have a look.

Not sure if they do ultimax stuff, but you can ask.

I am surrounded by DJ shops etc being near Manchester - but travel an hour a time to Lancaster - thats how highly i recommend them.

Od second Full Volume, TWent there today and told them I'm booked to arrive at a venue at 5pm the 7th so the guy is dropping a bulb I need at no extra cost.

Great service and great prices. He will even let you test any equipment on his premeses. Today I tested all his lighting before spending £1000 of works money

Discotech don't list deckstands on their site, but I rang and he said they had loads, so went in there to talk to them but he didn't have any out to look at, they were all in storage (it's a small shop), he simply showed me what he had by looking at a popular online retailers store on th'web.

Ideally I want a stand that incorporates a frontage that will hide whatever I have on the top shelf of the stand, including a laptop, none of the deckstands seem to do this apart from the ultimax, and he didn't have the curtain attachment in stock.

He tried to convince me i didn't need it and I would be able to tie/velcro a NJD starcloth to a KamStand. It's difficult to imagine it looking ok without trying it though.
