Would this be too much, little or just about right for lighting?

Hi people,
I've just been to our local DJ Equipment shop with the boss of the youth centre I work voluntry for and we bought some new lights.

x2 ADJ Quad Gem DMX
x1 Acme iSolution iMove HID150 (so we now have 2)
x1 star cloth

My boss said that as they dont use the equipment all the time I can use them when ever which is great but now I cant decide what to do. All the lighting is better than mine but I dont want to go over kill with lighting.

Tomorrow I'm booked for The Pink Ball which is a charity ball in The Brookland Hotel in Barnsley and I was thinking how do you think it would look with just the 2 Imoves & the 2 Quad gems with star cloth round my table. Do you think that would be too much, too little or just the right amout of lighting?

I don't really have a way of going to check the room out and its the first time Ive ever done a venue that I never been. Apparently its a large hall

sounds ok to me. Maybe something on the centre like a cluster laser, but it sounds fine as it is. If the room very large try and spread evereything out a bit.

Yes thats what I was planning, Don't use lasors as our insurance is abit dodgy about them, I've tried saying they are ok if used correct but as kids are involved they don't like them

Hows about maybe a slow moving moonflower?
