I've had a few instances lately where emails from clients to me have not been received.

When I've chased the clients up in all 3 cases they have said that they emailed me the info I was after.

These aren't initial emails so they won't fall into the spam / junk folder

The one thing they have in common is that all 3 "stray" emails were from hotmail addresses, 1 a .co.uk the other 2 were .coms

Anyone else come across this or any pointers as to what it could be?

Whenever we've had any issue with an email not being received by a client, or a client saying they've sent us an email an d we haven't received it, it's always been a hotmail address!

I've just come to the conclusion that hotmail is crap! :lol:

It's a sad fact that delivery/receipt of email cannot be guaranteed. When you send an email you take a chance as whether it will get to it's destination or not.

if peoplr were to enable the receipts option then at least you would get an email back if the email was read - if not read after a few days you can then check up
