Just booked a week there in March at a hotel that only opened on monday just gone :eek:

Yep a few years ago Paul.

We stayed there as part of a round trip to Morocco.

Plenty of belly dancers and begging Arabs.

The souk ( market ) is overrated.

We found you could buy things cheaper in the Hotel ( souveniers) rather than beating the local sellers in the market down by 70 per cent--still haggling with them is a good sport;)

We find a lot of these kind of places sell tat--so be careful, definitely wouldnt buy jewellery or gold unless you know what your doing.;)

Should be reasonably warm, I imagine the pound wont buy much Moroccan money these days--im going to Egypt in 2 weeks and the pound has gone down 20per cent in 2 years.

Its bound to be a good experience though so enjoy it----if your getting Western meals you should be alright--if its locally based the meat is crap
and generally theres not a lot of choice especially for afters--sweet courses.

They are big on Sheep--like sheeps head for example:eek:

When we walked round the night market at the souk looking at food---we suddenly didnt feel hungry:)

Couscous and belly dancers are the bonus---;)

Oh and watch the horse taxi drivers--ours wanted a tip --fine--then he wanted a tip for his horse--I gave him a lump of sugar I had in my pocket:p

We went to Agadir in the South and had the best holiday ever.We went to Marrakesh for the day.....It holds all the magic that people dream of....may not fancy a week tho in the city.

All Aboard the train.....great song.....Crosby Stills and Nash.We only went there to live that song...so to speak!!:bang:
