Dio in hospital

Little - and legendary - rock vocalist Ronnie James Dio was taken into hospital last night, the European tour has been cancelled.

An announcement yesterday on his website says it's stomach cancer. :(

I was a massive Rainbow fan in my younger days so I hope he pulls through.
One of the strongest vocalists i've ever heard and a great live performer.
I must say though I thought Holy Diver was pants.

Hope he doesn't have to give his cape and sceptre to Jack Black just yet.;)

must be the year for it - Dave Gahan (depeche mode) had a tumour removed from his stomach earlier in this year after he fell ill just before the Athens gig - depeche cancelled a further 11 or so dates before resuming, Dave made a v.quick recovery after the Op - hopefully yer man Ronnie will do the same.
