Have I got the right amp?

When I first got my speakers, I got a package deal which was some JBL JRX 125's which came with a Crown XLS602D.

I since then got a W-Audio DA1000 amp as backup.

Now, since then I decided I needed some smaller speakers as the big JRX's have been overkill for alot of venues I've worked at so I invested in some Class D CD158 speakers

Now I have used these once with the W-Audio amp and they were fine all night, I had the amp channels set to about 70% and the mixer levels never further than half way and all was well, so my question might allready be answered but would just like a bit of confirmation that the amps I have are ok for these speakers.

It was just that the speakers are 350 watts at 8ohms and each amp provides 300watts at 8ohms which did worry me a little bit, and also if someone could explain what bridging is and if it would help me that would be great.

The XLS602 provides 380 at 8Ohm so why no use that?

The XLS602 is my work horse too. Crank it up full and control it off the desk and you should be fine. Just don't red line your desk / mixer.

In the words of Corporal Jones and Douglas Adams " Don't panic". :D Either amp seems acceptable for the task. I bet you can't hear the 80 watt difference between them. ;) :D I run my Class D's from amps which give 500w at 8ohms, so there's plenty of leeway.

As Neil says, amps up full ( or nearly full. I always just back mine off a notch. ) and DON'T redline the mixer. Works for me.
