Why Buy New

Sorry for the duplication, as I know that there has been a recent thread asking about Why Buy New, but I can't find it. HAs anyone had any experience of buying from these guys?


Mods: I'm not being lazy, I have searched - "Why Buy New" in quotations gives no results, why buy new without quotations gves 11, but excludes "why" and "new"....

I've only bought one, pretty insignificant thing from there, was all ok. I have found they never have anything in stock though! (even when they say they do)

Search with it as all one word: whybuynew. 16 results. Couple in particular could be useful.

Used them plenty of times and even with B-Grade stuff has been as brand new in sealed boxes..would highly recommend them.

Apart from one occasion when they were slow processing a refund, I've had no problems at all with this company, and I've used them at least half a dozen times over the last couple of years.

Not used them but looked at Peavey stuff on there recently--problem I had was there was only one UL15 speaker for sale---probably loud enough for most of my work on its own--;)

Whilst a reasonable price the warranty is 1 year not 5 years you get with a new product, the warranty is not transferable.

Im sure the equipment would be fine but I like the idea of 5 years trouble free motoring--if I last that long :(

I bought a pair of Numark CDN22 CD players from them, and when they arrived they didn't work. So I rang and they came and swapped them, and then they didn't work either!!!! :mad:

Luckily, I got a refund on the second set.

I have a number of dealings with Why Buy New.

My flight cases I have had no problems with.

I did purchase a Numark CDN 95 off them and it got sent back and replaced over 5 times, before they offered a refund!

Ordered a second Acme Littled from them yesterday at 4:48pm and it arrived this morning at 9:08am and in excellent condition no marks/scratches/blemishes nothing so very very very happy with them, was abit dubious at first as it stated they had been on show at a show etc but its exactly like the new one i bought so again yes would recommend them highly :):):)

My recent experience with them has been ok so far. I ordered a couple of ACME Dynarocks with a CA-8, but when they arrived, the mirrors on both units had multiple cracks, so I've returned them. WBN say they weill replace them toward the end of the week.

THe courier firm they use is a different matter - so far I've wasted three days hanging around for them. It took them two attempts to deliver, and two attempts to collect - despite me (and on one occasion my 14 year old daughter) being at home at the time they called! They should've collected the units on Monday, but didn't. Apparently their was a car blocking access to my road, and the courier couldn't be arsed to wait!!!
