Hi there,

My name is Marcus, and I run Oasisdjs(.com)
Im 20 years old, and have been in the mobile scene for just over 8 years.
I played my first solo wedding at the richmond hill hotel at the age of 13.
based london, but travel all over the UK with my roadshow, currently looking like this (part from a couple of movers and LED bars out on dry hire!)

I also do PA hire for any playback situation eg. clubs and pubs and the like!
I am here to both teach and learn with like-minded people.

Hi Marcus,

I don't normally come in here, but I used the new posts facility to try it out & noticed your post, as I've also done a number of discos at the Richmond Hill Hotel.

I have just one question. Out of interest, how did the Bride, Groom & guests react when they saw a 13 year old DJ on his own?

Hi Rob,

I remember the day like it was yesterday. I will never forget it:

At first they looked at me with complete bewilderment, however the bride and groom heard me play a few months before at a 40th birthday so they knew the type of music I played and booked me the next day.
When I got there, the guests were literally gawking at me during the meal, It must have looked like I was a guest's child getting up to no good! I had a dancefloor of about 80 people all night, and played one 'dud' tune mid way through (I played lambada kaoma because I mis-read the track listing!) but I got everyone going again with love shack and twist and shout, and all was good again!
It was also my first time playing on a Bose 802-502 sound system which contributed to my liking for playing music loud and still crystal clear.

I hope that didn't bore you!
