I have a nice Panasonic 42" plasma, but having been to a friend of mines house recently, he has a 50" and I'm jealous.

I have seen a 50" Panasonic Viera recently and am very tempted. The missus says it will look too big, but there again, she said that when I bought the 42"!

as for me my wife bought me a nice battery charger for my rc helicopter(truthfully i bought it and told her she can wrap it up for xmas as soon as i have checked it properly around about xmas eve)

I've got my Dad a 3 DVD Jethro boxset. He's a big fan, and so am I, so I'll be borrowing them after he's watched them! :D I'm also going to look for a decent malt for him. My brother, I'm not sure what to get him - socks (he keeps wearing mine) and some dumb bells I think, he mentioned that he wanted some.

What would I like?? Well, I/we could do with a juicer, and I need a new pair of slippers... oh, and I wouldn't mind a year's subscription to XBox Live, as I refuse to pay for it myself :o

As for myself. I went out and bought a Pioneer Blu-ray writer for my PC with some verbatim dual layer 50gb discs.

as for what im expecting from anyone in terms of presents. they asked me what i wanted and there isnt anything i really want. So i just said surprise me. I have told them i dont want any disco stuff that includes dj cds as well. PS3 games ive got all the games i want at the moment until Gran Turismo 5 is released in March 2010

Tbh im not fussed if i dont get anything but that wont happen. The biggest christmas present of all is spending christmas with family.

Argh, it's very annoying at my age because there are so many freinds to buy for. I spent last weekend in town buying them aftershave etc, to be told on Monday morning "oh Charlie, we have all agreed not to buy each other Xmas presents this year, it's too expensive"
I quietly died in the corner ;) Then again, you don't buy to receive.

I will buy dad the George michael DVD, Mum and Steve perfume and Harvey a Jack Wills polo.

Sounds soft and soppy but I get a lot more pleasure from giving than receiving.

Couple of years ago we replaced the aging CRT before Xmas, in case it died. We went into the shop intending buy a cheap equivalent, and came out with I think a 36" Flat screen! :eek: :eek: For ages we sat in front of it thinking it was like being at the Cinema. We're now looking at it and thinking " You know, we could do with a bigger telly!"

E-buyer are five miles down the road from me. I order stuff at 5pm Friday night, get an email at 6pm to say it's on its way, and it arrives 10am Saturday morning!:eek: :D :D :D Sadly, they won't let me go and pick it up myself. :( :( :(

I've treated myself to a mini-break in the Cotswolds leaving on the 27th. The line in the brochure which said "Nightly free bar" sold it to me!!!

Panasonic or Sony for me. I had cheaper make TVs years ago and learnt my lesson from that. When I bought the Panasonic, I did a lot of research into LCDs and plasmas and who makes components and screens for who.

This Christmas my watch has been sent back to Switzerland to finally get its service and new battery. :D Will be glad to have it back.

That's my Christmas present as told my wife not to bother with anything else as we are skint as usual. The house has eaten another £x thousand pounds this year, but early 2010 should see it finally finished. :beer1:

Don't know why you would want to send a watch back to Switzerland for a new battery, I could do it in 5 minutes and to be honest battery watches don't really need servicing, you just run them until they wear out could be 10/20 or even 30 years then just replace the whole movement when rerquired.
