The show is called the X Factor and he is very ordinary if you ask me. He can sing undoubtedly....but very ordinary.I completely agree, I mentioned this on another thread too. It just seems to be a never-ending conveyor belt of exceptional singers, but it is becoming very tedious.

The trouble is that it's a direct reflection of the British public, and it saddens me.

If it was solely a singing competition then they got the right man but for (like I said before in a different thread) the whole package "The X-Factor" surely Olly was the natural choice. But who actually phones in? 10 million people did and I wasn't one of them, were you?

Joe is the best singer, but less of a performer, so it depends on what you want.

If I was listening to a CD of their singing, I'd rather hear Joe, but if I was going to a live show, I'd rather see Ollie.

Joe is more than exceptional...he doesn't miss a note.Reminds me a lot of Will Young....OBVIOUSLY talented and OBVIOUSLY gay...but thats ok.

Robbie was better when he performed his new song...despite the reherasals he :Censored: up where he should have started the duet.

I agree. As you say the song is called X Factor, yet 2 of the 3 finalists didn't have anything resembling it. When they were performing Stacy & Joe had the charisma of a used teabag.

Moving? The only thing it moved for me was my bowels

Robbie was obviously nervous (& who can blame him after the slating he got after his last appearance on the show &watching it back I'm not sure, but I think he was having problems hearing through his earpiece)

A bit player with more charisma than any of the other contestants that made it to the live shows. Not the best singer in the contest, but the show is called the X Factor & old high trousers has stated more than once , it's not about who is the best singer, but who has the X factor. Olly undoubtedly does. The only way the other 2 could be described as having the X factor is if the definition of the X factor is being bland twee ballad mongers with nasal slightly annoying voices & a charisma bypass.

There was more connection between Olly & Robby than either of the other 2 duets. Joe looked overawed & quite nervous. Buble outclassed Stacy. The man was crooning & still had the power in his voice to hold the mic 2 - 3 times further from his mouth than she could full tilt.

I did overhear one song whilst serving tea in the lounge--and heard someone singing twist and shout like a pub karaoke singer.

That sums it all up really--absolutely nothing NEW.

If you listen to Radio 2 Saturday afternoon or late Saturday ( as I often do on the way to and from gigs) you will hear some new music worth listening to which isnt the same worn out 50 year old songs.;)

See this is my problem - he's not a "legend" he is at best a half-decent singer, this term "legend" seems to be dolled out now to any Johnny come lately, If he's still having number ones in thirty years time I will be willing to review this statement!

If I was being pedantic, I would explain that Robin Hood or King Arthur is a legend - I think you may find that Joe actually does exist!

True, although is would seem the British public hasn't got a clue as to this fact, as the ones that seemed to have it didn't get the votes to keep them in. It's popularity contest pure & simple & has nothing to do with talent. Cowell's reluctance to vote Jedward out when he had the chance proves this.
