Akg/wireless Mic - Advice?

Hi i had a gig yesterday and my wireless mic packed in :(

Luckily i had 50m of xlr to get to the other side of the room ;)

Anyway im looking for a twin mic system with the following:

- obviously two mic with variable volumes
- UHF - ideally rack mountable but not a must
- they need to be small, robust and last the test of time!!

Thats it really - budget £100 - £300.

I understand the Kams are good but these seem a bit better.

Would it be worth just buying two of them and saving £150 :confused:

all im using them for is wedding speeches and my blabbering every now
and again so no high end stage work or anything like that.

i had a play with this is my dj shop and it was really good and sounded very ok for karaoke speaches and my DJ voice lol

AKG are highly respected within pro audio circles and make some fantastic microphones - C414, C451 & C747 to name just a handful of their stalwarts.

This little UHF jobby looks great value and because of the company's expertise / R&D on microphone technology, I would recommend it a thousand times more than some unbranded PRC kit, Kam or Numark etc.

I have always had great results with AKG microphones, admittedly fairly expensive ones, but would have no reservation in putting one of those UHFs on a non-mission critical channel for a road test.
