What a dodgy Email...

Hi all just recieved a email this morning which im still laughing about only due to the fact that its such a cheesey scam that i wondered how they thought they would get away with it, anyway here it is lol

"Dear Friend,

I know that this mail might come to you as a surprise. I am the bill and exchange manager in BICICI BANK ABIDJAN CI. (www.bicici.org ) I hope that you will not expose or betray this trust and confident that I am about to repose on you for the mutual benefit of our both families.

I need your urgent assistance in transferring the sum of TEN MILLION SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS.($10,600..000.00 USD) immediately to your nominated banking account coordinates.

The money has been dormant for years in our Bank here without any body coming for it. We want to release the money to you as the nearest person to our deceased customer (the owner of the account) who died a long time with his supposed next of kin in an air crash since July 2005.

I don't want the money to go into our Bank treasury as an abandoned fund. So this is the reason why I contacted you, so that we can release the money to you as the nearest person to the deceased customer.

Please I would like you to keep this proposal as a top secret and delete if you are not interested. Upon receipt of your reply, I will send you full details on how the business will be executed and also note that you will have 30% of the above mentioned sum if you agree to transact the business with us.Finally, you are advice to call me after reading this message , 00225 67017990.

The one thing I completely fail to understand is how hundreds of thousands of people are stupid enough to fall for email & postal scams each year.

Is this country REALLY full of people with an IQ lower than their shoe size & no common sense whatsoever?

Thing is, if they send to say 100 million valid email addresses and only 0.00001% of idiots are thick enough to respond, that's still a thousand suckers :o Multiply by the number of bits of spam and you can see why they persist....
