Complete rig on Ebay. £250 reserve, includes an HK rig. Seems cheap. I know a few folk have been looking for these.

£1900 new hardly used--£250 reserve.

Obviously not missing healthy scepticism. ;) :D :D

It may make £1750. Worth a punt at £250, I'd say. Who knows. :confused: :D

This is where the ebay bidding system is a load of rubbish.

Even though you have bid the £250 reserve it won't reach that amount unless or until someone bids against you. (Currently the highest bid is £155 which I assume to be whoever from here did bid £250)

If nobody bids against you the seller will be unaware that you have bid the reserve.

Not quite correct, if you have bid on or over the reserve, but the bidding hasn't reached the reserve, your bid will be upped to the reserve figure as the auction closes, and you win the item at the reserve price.
I can't see this lot going for £250, if it did I would be a very happy bunny

I had a bit of a go at £400, but it shot up in the dying seconds. Dont need it either, just got suckered in by this thread ha ha:)

It went for £530, I was in it up to £450. but the thought of the drive to collect it in the current conditions. put me off going higher. It was a good buy for someone

In that case you would never buy anything off ebay, but there's probably hundreds of thousands of people in the UK who disagree with that approach

Usually I only bid on expensive items if I'm near enough to the seller to pick them up personally. I always email them and ask very specific questions, for example, is there any cosmetic damage, is the item fully working with no intermittent faults, has it had any non standard parts fitted (speaker drivers), and most importantly, can they demonstrate it working, when I pick it up. Genuine sellers will respond positively, and the ones trying to off load their :Censored:, make lame excuses, or don't answer the email. Following this method, I've avoided bad deals, and met some interesting folks, and been given loads of free stuff, including cables, bulbs, rigging, stands, and even a Martin ego 4 (cost less than a tenner to fix).
