Last night (Friday 18th Dec) I had one of the best family parties ever for an under 8 football team, I was called in at the last minute due to their regular entertainer being “struck down with the plague or something!! (the organisers words not mine!!) it was one of those parties that everything just fell into place and I was swimming in silliness big time.
During packing up and loading I received 4 bookings for this club next year and also 2 private children’s parties as well so it was well worth doing it.
Anyway back to the topic.
On my way home I came right past the door of a venue where Crazy K was doing his thing so I had arranged to pop in and finally meet the man himself after chatting for a few years on here and the phone.
When I arrived there were Cowboys everywhere and they were either tucking into the buffet or injuring themselves on the rodeo bull, so I just stood to one side trying to fathom out which one was Crazy K.
I saw a guy franticly trying to set up equipment in the dark so that gave me a clue so I strolled over and waited for a chance to say hello.
(It was dark due to a film Blazing Saddles being shown on the back wall)
After the initial greetings I helping Alan get his kit sorted and set up the best I could but not knowing what went where I just waited for some kind of direction.
Gear sorted and the music started.
Now this is the first time I had seen Alan working and all I can say is “WOW” the man is a demon!! He had the audience soon lined up and into the first barn dance and the moved into a line dance which he demonstrated and instructed all the way through - brilliantly.
I could not stay much after that but all I will say is that this guy is a consummate professional at what he does and if you ever get the chance to watch him in action then take it, it is an education.
It was great to meet you Alan and I look forward to coming along to another of your events next time you are in my area.
