Calling all DJs in Kent

Evening all,

I'm in the process of taking a wedding booking for next Summer at High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells, although I don't yet know the name of the actual suite at the venue.

As it's not listed on the venue database & I've never even heard of it, I'd appreciate any information from people who've worked there concerning general access, parking facilities, sound limiters etc.

Hi mate. I do a fair amount of work at the high rocks. I can provide you with any information you require. They have quite a few rooms used for weddings over there, some of which involve stairs! no sound limiters it's in the middle of nowhere. Also alot of the suite's are already kitted out with sound and lighting. Can give you more info when you know which room you will be using.

I've just discovered that I'm in the Bell Room at High Rocks.

Any more information would be greatly appreciated, particularly concerning loading access & which floor this room is on.

Hiya,

Unfortunately the bell room is on the top floor. Access is not too bad though, you can park outside the main entrance. The stairs are straight! and are on the outside of the building directly next to the entrance. It's not a massive room! probs 70-80 people max. You will need to setup on the right hand side as you walk into the room. No equipment in there apart from some lighting bars attached to the ceiling.

My diet starts on 1st January & the gig isn't until May, so hopefully I'll have lost a fair few stone by then & won't have too many problems.

Its built on a hill, so as you go in the main entrance you are on the 1st floor, there is a floor below and the floor above is where the Bell room is located. There are stairs inside the building, so you could access the room from the inside if you wanted to.
