I can see Daily Mail in the link, therefore I'm fairly sure more than a pinch of salt is required (probably a bit more than what's been put down on the roads this morning)

Hmmmm. You doing a bit of research before the Reading Party, eh Tony? ;) :D :D
1)DON'T: Attempt to sell raffle tickets to Muslims because Islam forbids gambling.
Or Glowsticks.
2)DON'T: Give meat or alcohol as prizes in case they offend.
No. Buy the meat in the Kebeb shop on the way home.
3)DON'T: Let staff who have been drinking drive home.
Won't matter. Apparently you can't get up the Skating Rink without a chieftain tank.
4)DON'T: Let staff make remarks about 'being gay' in the pub before the party.
Or "Merry " afterwards.
5)DO: Carry out a "proper risk assessment" before putting up decorations.
Jamesy, where are you? Form for you to sign here.
6)DO: Ensure staff have taxi numbers, or put on a bus to take all drunken staff home.
See 3)
7)DO: Finish the party while public transport is still running.
Then go off to the nearest nightclub.
8) DO: Make sure there is a mix of music to avoid age discrimination claims
Oh no, not one about music! Incoming. :sofa:

and holding a raffle or giving out alcoholic prizes could offend Muslims.Serves them right for going to a Christmas party then (or isn't Christmas a Christian celebration any more?)
I'm not racist & I don't care what religion anyone is (as long as they don't bother me with it)

Apparently not. Next year, it's being renamed Winterval. ;)

Ah, but by declaring how you don't care about other folks religious beliefs, have you not shown your flagrant disregard for them, and condemned yourself out of your own keyboard? ;) ;)
( Just in case anyone thinks I'm having a go at the lad, I'm trying to show just how absurd this whole business of not offending people by celebrating your own religion is. :bang: I believe very few people in this country are offended by the celebrations of the Christian Religion. It truly is a mad world nowadays :( :( )

No disregard or disrespect, I'm just not bothered what other folks get up to in the privacy of their own home or place of worship.

I just dread what it's going to be like in years time! If it's this bad now, we won't be allowed out of our homes by the time i'm 30

Oh don't worry, what you do in your own home will be regulated as well (they've started coming up with :Censored: like that in the US already!)
