hi, looking at buying a pair of these in the new year, seem ok on youtube with regards to the 'trix' and stuff, anyone one here own a set and if you do how do you get on with them?

They are very basic, a stripped down version of the DN-S3000/5000. I wouldn't expect to be able to do too many 'tricks' on them. Are these for mobile use? Have you considered a rackmount setup?

no not rackmount for me ..my poor back lol.. had the .ahem.............. technics sldz 1200 so upgrading from them to these and going digital...

too late, just paid for them and got some memory sticks comming too...
had my eyes on some 5000's but they dont come in digital lol.. and the 3500's were just a bit over my budget..

Are they really that much of an upgrade? Surely you could have just used something like Serato with the Technics 1200's?

the sldx only has the sd card slot no digital connections or remote start facilitys, the dns 1200 and dns 3500 have the usb connections which take the memory stick and can be plugged into a laptop, Ive already downloaded the serrato scratch music program to give it a try with views on moving to the 'advanced' with plugon bits once I got my head around it, Ive ordered the 8gb memory fklash drives to get me started with a view of getting more once i progress/ migrate from cd to fully digital.
