Mum came to watch..nervous....you bet!!

Anyone else ever had an important family member come to watch them.


Mum is 80 and lives 3 hours away.....but came to watch my X-Factor night on Boxing Day.Don't suffer from nerves but :Censored: ing myself all day in case equipment played up....or got a poor response etc etc

As it happens it was a roaring success like last year.Also had my 23 year old Daughter for my Sunday Evening Quiz Night which also went well.

How do others feel about family watching???

It's never bothered me as I did all the family functions when I started and had the full support of everyone.

My Mum and Dad were always first on the dance floor, which was fairly useful.

I dont mind , but afterwards I find myself explaining any little thing that went wrong , even if no one noticed it :D .
My wife attends any general gigs , and is my best/worst critic :D

I held a talent contest in the church square under a £100,000 canopy. Overall a success for the crowd that gathered to watch. TBH I am more concerned about future clients than my family.

Only had one complaint from a nasty piece of work who thinks just cos he runs a roadshow and a second hand market stall he owns the church square.
So it actually was 100% a success, following local press and radio advertisements.....lol
The radio slot was nerve racking, as I knew most of my family would be listening ;)

My partner Jackie also comes and sometimes helps out particularly with the Kids.

I hate it when my Dad stays and watches....I normally have to politely tell him to leave.

Mum has come to one and was an embarrassment. It was the time she had a glass of wine too many and hogged the dance floor at a wedding.
