View Full Version : I need a holiday!

Well, having got through the holiday period and feeling like a needed a holiday to recover, I decided to overhaul all our systems/templates etc (more or less starting from scratch). Everything is out of date, really, and needs sorting out, so I am going cross-eyed staring at a screen all hours of the day and night trying to do all of that.
Silly me, assumed that this week would be fairly quiet for the business, but no, the phone hasn't stopped ringing with new enquiries, plus existing clients.
We've also had some last-minute enquiries/bookings from regular clients (not that I'm complaining about all that, mind you!) and the headaches that caused because we don't want to turn away regular clients. Then add in the snow and the fact that put question marks over DJs travelling to jobs and making contingency plans 'just in case' to make sure no-one gets let down - no matter what.
Don't get me wrong - I'm really pleased that the new year is off to a flying start, but I am feeling a bit frazzled and frayed round the edges at the moment!
Anyone want to pay for me to have 2 weeks in a nice sunny location?
No, no takers? :D

I try to go away every year after the manic christmas period. Its good to get away from things during the quietest time of the year (Jan and Feb) recoup and then hit the rest of the year really hard!
This year I'm off to Thaniland in Feb for a couple of weeks. In the past though I have done smaller things like Centre Parcs, Sheffield and Tenerife.
Doing what we do can be extremely stressfull - we deserve a break :)

Yeah, and Paul (Spirits) is married to Emma, so it would be reasonable to assume that his offer to Angela was of course totally honest, polite and gentlemanly. ;) ;) ;)

hopefully she's forgot as we did fly pretty close to the wind at one stage last year. Thought I might have to give in  Fortunately though I've managed to get Helen at Hasop Hall to write me a letter saying they're fully booked until 2099 :D

Apologies mate, I'd assumed you'd done the decent thing. :o :o :o :o
On a related topic, I'm sure you'll have no bother finding a DJ for the gig, if and when you decide to take the plunge. ;) ;) :D :D :D :D

no problem ;)
That's one of my excuses for not doing it as I wouldn't be able to get a dj :D
Then again if August was anything to go by we could do it with an Ipod in a phonebox :D :D

Be fair Steve, while I'm sure we've got no problems with Angela as Fenella, and you do perhaps have some of the facial hair of the chappy there, he's way ahead of you in the film star physique and looks. :p :p :D :D :D

Shame we've got Rob as Mr Butterworth, cos I've just found the infamy piccy of Kenneth Williams.
