Sound and lighting shops

Theres none around here in Milton Keynes,i used to go to Luton disco and lighting centre wich was on Wellington street opposite the sex shop ;) many moons ago

I want to go and have some lighting demos.I think there might be one in Bedford called Advanti well there was years ago

can anyone recomend a shop local?

HTFR seems ok,is it worth a trip to brum?or mabee one in London Westend DJ ive seen????

There's a member on here that many of the forum members know personally and can recommend and he's not too far away for a little trip for you. His name's Clive and he has a shop in Lacey Green (CRS1.com). He holds an 'open day' (mini DJ show with food and drink) each year - which should have been today, I understand.... but it's been postponed until March now because of the weather.

Certainly worth you contacting him if there's something in particular you are after and tell him you've been recommended via MDD :D

Let's just say that while Clive's a lovely fella, he's an excellent salesman.

And hes a Light box nutter as well--video evidence is available if required of my gig with his Disco;)

I really will insist on dark glasses next time :D

Good selection of lights/ demos.

Bad news--closed Monday--could never work that out--wouldnt that be the very day you needed to visit your DJ shop for spares, repairs etc:confused:

Having chatted to them over the years I believe they did mention this was the original business which developed into the existing Disco set up.
