Stage Snake.....

Hiya guys, im looking for a cheap stage snake loom that is very basic and will allow 4 xlr microphones to be fed into a mixer. Ive googled it to no avail, so any help would be much apprecated.

I have seen a 10 or 15 way one but noen as small as that. CPC have the larger looms if you want to look. Either that or tie 4 xlr cables together to 'loom' them.

I was hoping to go down the route of getting a box that i can actually mount on a but of board with 2/3 LEd par cans on.

Im sure Terralec do a modular stage box which you build yourself, but their websites useless and i cant find my catalogue. :bang:

Doesn't seem economical to run it that way with such a relatively small number of inputs / returns, nor should such a small cable run really be that hard to manage. Drums / snakes seem to begin at 8 or 12, and aren't particularly cheap. I presume you don't require returns? You could buy Van Damme or Quartex 8 way balanced multicore by the metre, the various XLR connectors, coloured boots and panel mounts and make up your own custom box if you fancy it. That would probably cost even more and ruin a few evenings!

Dare I ask, have you considered striping the 4 lengths you need together and running it that way? Seems like the most obvious solution, unless I've completely missed the point.

Its defo the box im after, the loom is a bit of a faff.

Ideally i would be looking for 4 out and 2 return, but the returns arnt as important. Im thinking go for the larger one, 8/4 and future proof it.

I have an 8 pair XLR one which cost about £50, Will try and recall where I got it from.
