Hi Guys , All my sound kit is currently housed in one flightcase . I want to connect another piece of kit to the mixer which will not be in this flightcase , therefore I will need to connect / disconnect from the mixer all the time. Is it ok to use a phono extension lead permanently plugged into the back of the mixer and simply connect the phono lead from the external piece of kit to this lead so I don't have to fiddle around in the back of the case at the end of every gig. Will this affect the sound signal in any way? Or is there a patch panel or something which is a better job for doing this? Thanks

Yes.
Not appreciably.
Probably, but don't sweat it.

I don't see a problem, I used to do the same before I went XLR.
just take 1 or 2 spare phono leads as a backup ;)
