I bought a ramp a couple of weeks ago and intend on putting castors on some of my cases. Some have them on already and I use a mix of trolleys which all work well with the ramp. Hopefully, it's going to save my poor back a bit.

Looks like a good idea, Darren.

I've never used anything like ramps or trollies to make things easier, and my back has started causing me a few problems over the last year or so.

I'm sure it's because it's wearing out quicker than it should...due to 25 years of carrying heavy gear about.

A good time and effort saving idea.

How do you manage with difficult entries/stairs etc with the deckstand, it must be good to have it all assembled and saves loads of time but does it give you problems sometimes.

Not really - it's managable up a couple of flights of stairs.

Not really - it's managable up a couple of flights of stairs.



I also leave my deckstand assembled with the starcloth on it ( no wheels on mine though) but it is so light that it is easy to carry and it saves the trouble of building it and putting the starcloth on each time :)

I can see you wouldn't have too much trouble with it. I once carried our 6 footer up some stairs, it was a bit of a struggle but I managed.

Steve, you know those big knurled knobs at each end? They have an interesting and sometimes useful effect, if you turn them. ;) ;)
