Ultimax help - mounting colourbursts

Confession time - unless using uplighting I currently use a Rhino stand with lighting bar :eek: . The reason is that I use 4 colourbursts along the top of the bar which I really like and want to keep, the rhino stand has nice holes and bolts with wing nuts - ideal.

Don't get me wrong the stand looks the part but is nowhere near as stable as the ultimax (which I also own). I now want to use the Ultimax only, but as I only have the single crossbar (enough for my requirements) there are no holes in the crossbar to attach the colourbursts to. I have brackets which allow lighting to be attached to the top and below but these are no good as I only normally use 3 effects below (but have 4 colourbursts on top).

Apart from drilling holes (not really what I want), has anyone any ideas how to mount these colourbursts, preferably permanent / semi-permanent.

Changing the layout is not an option as I like it the way it is (4 colourbursts on top and 3 lighting effects below the bar) and also looking to spend a tiny budget this year as as have other demands for my hard-earned.

If I understand you correctly, yes. You can get clamps for the Ultimax which have a thread upwards as well, allowing you to bolt your fixtures on as you wish.

I would like to keep only 3 lights below and think the look of having the longer top'n'tail clamps empty below would be awful - keep thinking guys :D :D
