As said selling a pair of Mackie thumps less than 30 days old. Current price for these new is £498 a pair. Im looking for £450 the pair with covers if anyone is interested. Bought for an idea that never came to fruition barely used (2 gigs infact) and never run hard not even taken up to when little red light comes on. All manuals etc. Would prefer pickup but can arrange delivery in local area or meet up etc.
If unsold will go on the ebay next week but will give it 7 days here first.

Any interest in a trade...?
I have a pair of the Tapco Thumps, and also a pair of Alto PS4HA's --- these are very similar to the Mackie SRM 450, but only at 400w output. But would love to have 2 pairs of the Tapcos for visual / sound continuity... :)

Also very little use and in Alto bags, and also can meet halfway as I'm in Cambridge - price for these new was £700+ a pair - will do a trade? Or how much cash adjustment for a deal...?

OK, no worries. ;) However, I might try and sell the Altos, can you hang for a day or two, as I think I know someone who may be interested...?

Can't shift the Altos just ATM, so go ahead and dispose of them if you can - I'll come back to you if I get any further towards the cash required!

These Mackie Thumps??? Can you tell me your honest opinion on them, and how many people they are likely to cope with at a gig?

On their own they can handle up to 100 peope for an average wedding so a bit of eveything but keeping it sensible for older guests etc. With sub and using low cut then around the 200 mark would be my guess. I have used them for around 100 poeple for a wedding but iwould not have attempted it with same numbers for a 18th birthday for example.
They run very cool and are very lightweight. They have a 4 band graphic on the back as well as an eq bypass switch. So they can be tuned very easily to room accoustices etc.
I have worked with these speakers and imo they sound very good for the money. Really impressed with them.
Who ever gets theses speakers would be getting a good buy!
