Although I don't know the best makes or models, I'd suggest one of the illuminated ones.
I use the standard black one which came with my hard drive controller, but sometimes have to use a torch, as I have trouble seeing it in venues where they turn out all the lights rather than dimming them.

Given that you'll be using in dark conditions, an illuminated one like this (http://cpc.farnell.com/trust/kb-1500uk/keyboard-usb-illuminated-trust/dp/CS14662) would be a good idea

That's just the first one I found.
Have a little 'google' and I'm sure you'll find some (Steve uses a smaller one and he either got that from CPC or eBuyer, but I couldn't immediately find it on CPC which is why I just put 'like this one' ;) )
EDIT: 10 second search found this one (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=36401&C=Froogle&U=36401&T=Module), but you should find others / cheaper

Word of warning - if using an illuminated keyboard with a cortex I would strongly reccomend a powered usb hub - past experience ;)
The one I use is the cheapest one in the shop at the time (about £4 I think). I use the smaller ones though, just I keep dropping the :Censored: things :D

This looks like the one in my spare console:

Nice & compact, as there is no number keypad on the right.

Although this one isn't illminated, i use this on a HD2500 with no problems at all. There is an illuminated one too, but i think that is a bit bigger and didin't fit my needs

Thanks guys for both your suggestions, i'll take a look.

That is the exact model I use and was purchased from CPC. Works fine with the Denon.

I have a desk lamp shining on the keyboards. Not as good as an illuminated keyboard.

I recommend powered everything.

I have the one that was linked to....er...craplins. I needed one quickly and nipped in and got it about a year ago on the way to a function and it works well. I can't believe I am actually recommending something from...er...Craplins.
