:o :o :o Just packing up kit for tonights gig, checking things off the list and I seem to be missing my Kam Colourbank (I put it above me on the truss to light myself up). Looked everywhere, every bag etc, nada, nothing - it gone - it runaway :( I think I'll blame the same mystical force that seems to remove a sock from the washing machine or tumble dryer!!! Does this happen to anyone else or just me (lighting, not the sock thing)!?

I think if you put together all the stuff that I have lost or that has ceased to function over the years you would have a set up that Status Quo would be proud of.
I don't know how to look after things:eek:

Never lost a light.
Lost a lighting stand once, a good-ish one - Giraffe - and that's about it really. I'm quite fastidious about repacking gear. The majority of my stuff is carried with its own clamps and cables in the same trunk or bag because I mix and match the gear quite a lot to suit the gig.
I've acquired plenty of mic stands, 4-way blocks etc. over the years though :o
Light stand too, dammed expensive one, powerdrive wind up  I haven't got a clue how, or even when

I don't think I've ever lost a light...or any other piece of disco equipment come to that.

Never a light, but I once left behind a mic stand.

Not lost any lighting (so far!!!) but did manage to loose a W-audio PSR8 over one weekend....
Loading the van i know i put 2 in the van as i did it myself! I then used one instead of 2 on the friday as a monitor speaker for a singer and the room was smaller than expected so only needed the one and it was loaded back into the van... Then used one on the saturday for a speaker outside on a wireless receiver and i know that was packed back in the van... But some how when the van was unloaded i only had 1 in the van... So i think the van ate the other one!

My other half has lost a radio mic, the back cover off a mixer, about 4 of those little safety bolts that go through speaker stand poles, a light and a microphone lead. :(
(on different occasions I must add, that could be one expensive gig lol)
On that note, anyone know where I can buy some more of those safety bolts? ;-)

I've left a starcloth at a gig before, but didn't notice until the next week when I went out! Luckily the venue where I left it put it to one side and I got it back, but I had to do my next gig without my skirts!
