hi guys

I have been watching four weddings for a few days now.

For the people that don't watch it. It's a program where four brides jude each others wedding in order to win a free honeymoon.

Anyway, i was wondering if anyone on here has been on the program by doing a wedding reception for any brides?

Would not do a disco for such a program. Imagine if you had a 'miserable' crowd and spent all night moaning about your disco :)

I have had the four wedding production team (think it was for that show) asking if i would pass flyers out to my brides before now, which i done for a couple i actually know, but (and i knew this anyway) they wouldnt touch the show with someone elses barge pole.

Oh dear--

Ive had them ring me more times than I can remember to go on the show.

Several personal issues prevent me from accepting but the biggest were the fact that they expected me to---

1. work for NOTHING

Must be :Censored: joking.

2. tell the bride the prize was honeymoon trip on some holiday the tv company probably bought at a massive discount ==not CASH.

As I pointed out most of the Brides have ALREADY booked a holiday so what use is that:bang: Oh no they said most people dont book a Honeymoon --
yeah right im sure thats true ( NOT )

Anyway--good news they have now alowed the prize to be used up to a year afterwards so it could be used as an Anniversary celebration;)

I have also been asked on to the weakest link--nice until they told me
NO FEE:eek:

Do these people really think we have got time to waste and donate our services for free considering the size of the budgets on these kind of shows.

I like this program - similar to Come dine with me.

Some parts can be quite repetitive.

You were ASKED to go on the weakest link? Sounds like you got preferential treatment there, Crazy!

I had to apply & get through the auditions like everyone else!

Although there's no fee, they do pay all your expenses, give you a meal allowance & put you up in a nice hotel.

A friend of mine was featured on it. (Bcs Promotions).

He was telling me that he had to do the 1st dance 4 times because the director couldn't get it right and the cameraman had tripped over the cables and fallen on the floor.

People were in fancy dress and playing upto the cameras.

He also said that the other brides offered him sexual favours to ruin the 1st dance.

Watched this last night, the first dance was the Conga  and why do most of the djs on the show just have a white table cloth as a frontage:eek:

Sounds very tacky. My experience with most TV producers of this type of show is that they just want cheap sensationalism with stereotypes

I got a call from one of the "Producers" (methinks just a runner or researcher or something) as they were "urgently" looking for Welsh brides for one of the 4 for the final show of the season.

I passed his details to the bride for that evening and left it with her. I knew for a fact the bride was after a small and intimate evening, and have heard nothing from them...safe to say they decided not to take ITV up on the offer.

Sorry I've not been on to reply to any of this.

I feel you get NO publicity at all, you get a two second glance at your rig and that is it!

And they exspect you to do it all for free! :Censored: that!

Sorry, that has outraged me, people exspect us to do wedding for next to nothing anyway, don't need a massive company like that tell us to do it for free !!!!
