Right, since you've sold these, what do you intend to purchase next in your new career as a speaker dealer? :D :D

What was/is wrong with the Alto?

And what do you intend to power them with? I could make a couple of suggestions, based on a couple of folks' experiences.

Ok Pete, bought that ALTO Mixer amp 500 watts per channel into 4 ohms, was never really struck on it. Always felt it was underpowered, but there again I was making comparison to the T AMP's 2400 that I have. These produce 1200 watts per channel at 4 ohm and 650 watts at 8 ohm.

Guess what..............:D :D :D

I have sold the ALTO and purchased another T AMP 2400 (that's 4 now lol) a good deal of a mate who is thinning some kit out and it's been racked since new.

But throughout this dillema I have been through various combinations (as you are aware).

Combo 1 = Alto amp and JBL JRX 115's = Good sound not enough volume (at 8 ohms)

Combo 2 = Alto amp and Peavey Pro 15's (MK11) = More Volume (Not great though) and an absolute dire sound, these are probably thee worst sounding speaker I have witnessed :( :( :(

( Sorry to the Pro 15 lovers, not being personal just basing my findings on my own ears :) )

So Combo 3 = T AMP 2400 (No prob with amp as I have been happy with these for a good many years) and...................Should have kept the JBL JRX 115's to use with the T AMP :(

So Ideally looking for a mid priced pair of 15's (Like the 2 pairs of Class D 158-1's that I sold when starting this project :D :D )

Oh well a lesson hard learnt, but isn't what makes this place good sharing experiences ! :)

On another note, I have just returned from Zelma's (my local Disco supplies) and heard the Audio Intimidator range (not the cheap & nasty AKA Range) but the INT 115X range. Mighty impressed for little money 15 inch with compression horn.

OR

Does anyone have any CLASS D's for sale (seriously :) )

Or any other suggestions on a post card please ! :D :D :D

Thanks for all the input and suggestions guys :)
