If the product is coming from Hong Kong and is around a third of what you'd expect it to cost, that's too good to be true. If it seems too good to be true, then it IS too good to be true... there's heaps of fake Shure & Senny kit out there, especially on online auction sites.
Moving on to your second question regarding the Kam, ummm how can I put this? I don't condone counterfeit kit in any way and my personal view is those responsible for it should face harsh consequences, as not only are they conning the unsuspecting purchaser, they are also adversely affecting the manufacturer both in terms of their reputation and potential sales loss.
However if I were stranded on a desert island and the last two mics in the case were a Kam and a "Senny" from Hong Kong that wasn't quite legit, then which mic would I hand the speaker? (conference on a desert island - unlikely scenario admitted :) ) If I'm 100% honest, I'd park my morals and leave the Kam in the case. :o

Ask him to put the prices up!
Seriously though, I'd be wary of this seller. Although I did notice that they do offer returns so presumably they'd refund your money mmmmmm but come to think of it, you'd have to pay for the item to get shipped back to HK, which will have quite a heftty price tag on it. Bottom line is, be wary of this package, I personally wouldn't buy from them, I'd sooner approach a reputable UK company. At least if you buy your kit here and it broke down, it wont cost you a fortune to send it back to them ;)
All the best,
Neil.

I suspect the above statement is actually a red-herring. Think of all the stories you read about dodgy sellers, especially from members of this forum.
I doubt very much that eBay 'investigate' any seller. They just take down individual auctions as they are reported, then eventually may remove a seller if they have had lots of complaints/take downs.
eBay have surprisingly little interest in buyer protection. Indeed they will do their best to avoid being involved in a transaction that has gone wrong.
From personal experience I recently bought an item that never arrived. Despite following all the procedures I was forced on to PayPal to make a claim. eBay had no involvement. Thankfully PayPal did good and I got a full refund.
Had I not used PayPal I doubt I would have seen my money, as there is no obvious mechanism to make a claim through eBay despite what they may tell you with their 'PowerSeller' type BS statuses.
Using eBay itself is just as big a risk as the dodgy sellers who inhabit it:mad:
That said, I still use eBay, but only EVER pay using PayPal, not perfect but about as good as it gets!
