Over the last few years, I have found that the number of people getting married abroad and then having a wedding 'party' after has almost disappeared.

I had a few last year, but nothing at all this year.

I know this is due to the general financial situation, but how have you found it?

Now you come to mention it, I can't recall the last time we had an enquiry for one!

We've had the opposite though: people who live abroad coming over to get married here (because they have family living here)

I've noticed the same trend up this neck of the woods too.

Similar trend here although I do 'quite' well with them by incorporating the Photo Slideshow into the evening for guests to view the photographs of the wedding.

We've had a few this year - no more or less than previous- about 10% of weddings (ish).

FX rates will have made a big difference to the cost of marrying abroad and I'm sure overall that will have put some people off.

We have done a few last year and a couple coming up this year.

I think I have only ever done 2 and they were both last year. I also sold them the Photo Projection idea and it went down well.

I had one last year which then got cancelled - The Bride informed me that her fiancee had lost his job and they now couldn't afford to get married full stop.

I've got two booked for this year so far, and one of those was only booked in the last week or so.

About two thirds of my weddings are for "foreigners" :p

(Well, folks from the North Island anyway... :D)

We did one after the honeymoon (mind you so was the weddding, long story) last year, does that count?
