I have now finally done my last disco under Tom Davis Entertainment.

It was an 18th disco for my fiancée's cousin. Was a nice little venue under a hotel. Had 3 rooms with the middle room as the main party area. One other room was a sit down quite area and the other room was where the food was.

First I would like to say a big thank you to Simon Pridmore who very kindly let me borrow some of his lights and a winch stand. Thank you so much. Lights works a treat with some great comments from the birthday boy who was also very grateful for you helping out. :)

The birthday boy already had PA Speakers which were the Tapco Thump TH15A. In my opinion, with the DB sub I had, the sound very good for the price range. Just had to add a little top end on the eq and that was it. Really impressed with them. :approve:

During the evening we had the birthday boys cousin do some singing (country singer) which did sound really really good in those speakers. We also had a bit of Irish Dancing (was really lucky I didn't have to dance as I didn't know the dance anyway, lol)

Played a lot of new and current stuff, but I was given a CD by The Baseballs. If you haven't heard of them, check them out. I had a lot of poeple asking who they were. I really like the stuff!

Anyway, just wanted to share this. :)

Thanks for the reading. :)

Hi Tom,

Glad to hear your last gig went well tonight.

I still can't believe you're retiring at 22...I'd barely started then!

Anyway, best of luck with everything in the future.

Hey Tom.... hope you don't intend to disappear altogether.... you never know, you may miss it more than you think, and it won't hurt to keep your hand in!

Hope the dancing goes well: would love to come along and see you sometime ;)

Sorry...:offtopic:

Good luck for the future Tom - stick around. :)

Pretty sure you'll be back!!!

I was the same when I gave up as Redcoat/Compere at your age.

One day you'll see a poor DJ and think I could do better than that....or someone who you've performed for well in the past couple of years will beg you for just one more Gig....or the firm that you are working for will ask for some help organizing a show for the Staff Christmas Party....

It never leaves you ...the desire to perform.....

I know you've sold all your tackle....my advice don't sell your music....you're sure as hell going to need it one day(it might be when we are all Cyber-Jockies....but what the hell:D :D :D :D :D :D )....;) ;) ;) ;)

I'll still be around. :). Was going to go to the NADJ show if there are a good amount of people going. Same goes for BPM also. :)

Met too many people just to walk away. Plus at the NADJ and BPM night outs, I had such a laugh. Well up for that again. :D

New car by then also. Well in a few weeks I hope anyway. :D :D :D :D :D

As for the dancing, we have a show in June/July, need to check which date. If you are interested I could get some more information for you. :)

Can't promise I'll make it, obviously, but definitely pass on the info and I'll try ;)

That's ok. :)

Most of the seats will be filled up with my fiancées Irish lot so seats might be hard to get but I'll have a word with my teacher and get some info for you. lol. :)

Not so sure about the public events. This show is open to the public but the family kind of book most of the seats. lol

I think we are doing the sweeps festival but I wont be in that as I don't know the dance, plus being only 1 of 2 blokes that do it, I don't think there are enough dances.

I am already lead for this show and I can't learn any more dances, let alone public events. lol.
