Been around for years. Not had a noticeable impact as yet. I certainly don't know anyone who's stated outright that they'd considered hiring a jukebox

Wow, what a deal!! Only a few pounds more than hiring an old bloke with big van and loads of flashing lights to do exactly the same thing, introduce all events, and generally do it all for you, instead of letting the guests have a punch up over playing Enter Sandman straight after Crazy Frog. The number of songs and speaker power are similar to mine (except the juke box is loaded with the current top 20 whereas I always have the top 40).

However, by the time you've also paid to hire some lights, it would probably be the same price as my standard disco...which comes with a DJ with 30 years experience who reads the dance floor, plays the right song at the right time & makes announcements...at no extra charge!

Plus I can see it getting abused by the drunks, I wonder if it allows you to cut someones song off half way through the track, this again could be an issue!!!!

Mind you, I don't think it would pinch all the sausage rolls so maybe there's something going for it! ;)

Some people will still prefer 'live' disco with dynamic disco lighting and plus, I think most people/clients would want a propper DJ as to get their guests in the right party mood and up for a serious boogie on the dancefloor :)

I wouldn't be too dis-heartened folks, this jukebox buiness might not take off for them, it might do but I think people will want a 'live disco' instead of a boring jukebox machine that doesn't look all that when compaired to a propper disco rig that looks amazingly dynamic ;)

I believe they'll be hoping it will seem more attractive than an Ipod wedding. You'll be in control, but using professional equipment, that your average punter can understand. However, I can see Grandma sending Little Johnny up to select some nice Glenn Miller, and for humorous effect, Johnny choosing a bit of Thrash Metal. ;) :D :D
