Bought my first LED light the other day which arrived today...have to say I couldn't wait to try it out. So with Broken Heals playing the light came on and I was amazed!

What a Light...Ok so it's basically spots, but it really is good and very bright. And hey, with a bit of haze the light will look amazing, perfect as my centre piece.

Oh it's the American DJ quad gem LED.

They are really nice them. I was looking at Phase One's website and found a rather nice package of 4 with a special kind of mounting frame so you have 4 of these lights mounted really nice, a bit expensive mind but take a look (http://www.djanddiscostuff.com/prodpage.asp?prodid=2712). I've been running 2 ImpossibLED's at practically every gig I've done this year and I still think there great effects for the £££. And have yet to come up with a dance floor they can't fill:)

I have an impossibled as my centre piece and love it, i want to get rid of overhead and mount lights on top of my ultimax uprights.
Currently have acme boogie, pro sound scanner, impossibled, prosound scanner, boogie on overhead, works well but fancy a change, and looking to link whichever lights i go for.

for me 2 impossibleds would be overkill! Downside to it is that it gives out too much light IMO.

For me it works well and is pretty flexible. I find for smaller gigs all I need is the pair of ImpossibLED's and thier quick and simple to put up.

Slightly off topic but what stands and brackets have you used for the impossileds ?

As i feel i could do a minimal setup with 2 of them on stands like you have them :)

thats the sort of effect i'm after, or the abiltiy to put on top of spare speaker tripods and place them away from the deckstand.

Well the stand behind my decks holding the Par's and Cluster laser is just a spare speaker stand I had lying around. I bought an external speaker top hat which allows me to mount a crossbar / T-Bar on the top of the stand allowing me to use it for lighting.

This is the unit I have (Didn't buy mine from Maplins though:o ):

There very cheap (about £5) to buy and allows you to be more flexible with your setup.:)
