Perhaps I was a little wrong with my sizing...
No, I wanted a case for all the wedding fayre stuff - banners, starcloth, led pars etc etc and thought it would be much easier to have it all in one case.
Ordered from Swan yesterday, arrived today. Very quick service.

(Don't you dare ever joke again about the size of the case you looked after for us for a few days:D :p )
...and yes: that is great service. I presume it was 'off the shelf'?

They had to foam line it, but yep.
Nice colour.
I detect a hint of sarcasm Mr H?

Great colour Darren - what are you intending to do with the star cloth Darren? Drape behind you?

Moi?
Yes and no.
I normally only like black flightcases, personal preference, but I can see the logic in having a different colour for a marketing kit so you don't accidently take it out on the road thinking it is something else!
Not that you said why you choose that colour, perhaps it was the only one available, but I actually quite like it.
Off topic, which size case do you use for the S+H cloth? I need to get a new one.

I have one of these in a beautiful colour of black.
All my lighting even though it is all flightcased goes in one.

Reminds me though, I ordered some cases from Swan three weeks ago and they've not come yet, i'd forgotten all about it!!

I actually wanted a slightly smaller size, but Swan rang me and told me they had that one in stock which would be cheaper than a bespoke case, so I went for it.
My S&H cloth lives in one of these (http://www.disco-world.co.uk/cases/american-dj-medium-road-case/prod_82.html) and there is plenty of room for the cloth, transformer and other bits and pieces too.

My god, that's a beast of a flightcase mon! I really like it.
Has anyone ever got a flightcase from Swan who've opted out for a gradient coloured flightcase? Something a bit different!

So, last night, I used the case for all my lighting and other stuff and took the ramp and just wheeled it into the venue. Much easier. I believe James JDB does this too?

Yes.
Darren you have now moved into the 2000's era! ;)
In all fairness it does cut a lot of time off get in's and out's.
The only issue is when the function room has stairs. But saying that everything inside is flightcased individually so if need be I just take it out the big box in the van.

I'm not quite sure what having a big flight case has to do with that>?
